Shuckers Guard Wins APBL Award in OT Win over Winchester
Severn, MD (January 20, 2012) – American Professional Basketball League (APBL) Commissioner Brian Graham notified the Bay Area Shuckers that Guard Terry Hosley has been named the APBL Southern Conference Player of the Week for his 38 points, two rebounds, seven assists, and four steals in a Shuckers 128-124 overtime victory over the Winchester Storm on January 5th.
Hosley, who continues to be a leading candidate for APBL Most Valuable Player Award, earned his second league honor of the season. He was named the APBL Player of the Month for November, after averaging 39.6 points per game, including a league record 56 points against the All-Stars.
His award is also the Shucker’s third league honor this season. Along with Hosley two awards, Danny Thompson was named player of the week earlier this season for a 22-point, 20-rebound, three-block performance in a win over the Nova Hawks on November 17, 2012.
The Shuckers (5-3) return to action on Saturday January 26th at 7:00 PM when they take on the Palmieri Jeans Destroyers (9-1), who are based in Wilmington, Delaware, in a match-up of APBL division leaders. The game will be the first of six straight home games at the Annapolis Area Christian School (AACS) in Severn, Maryland. Tip-off is 7:00 PM.
