Shuckers Weather Storm, Win 128-124 in Overtime

Shuckers Run Record to 4-2, 2-0 in Colonial

Severn, MD (January 5, 2013) - The Bay Area Shuckers ran their record to 4-2 and maintained their Colonial Division lead with a 128-124 overtime win over the Winchester Storm (2-3).  The Shuckers set a team record with three players scoring over 30 points in a game, as Terry Hosley led the Shuckers with 38 points, followed by Rocky Coleman with 33 and Gus Chase contributed 31 points. Danny Thompson (Mount St. Mary's) led the Shuckers with 13 rebounds and seven blocks and Mike McKenzie (Meade) led with nine assists.

For his efforts Terry Hosley was named the Coffee News Player of the Game. With the win the Shuckers increased their American Professional Basketball League (APBL) lead to one and a half games over the Storm.

The Shuckers now start a three game road trip where they will travel to the Rockville Victors (5-1) on January 12th, the Nova Hawks (2-4) on January 18th, and the West Virginia Monarchs (1-2) on January 19th. The Shuckers return home on January 26th at 7:00 PM to face the Monarchs.
