Provided Scoring and Rebounding Boost in Short Stint in 2011-2012
Severn, MD (October 12, 2012) – The Bay Area Shuckers continued to stack their roster with big rebounders as they signed Kevin Green, who racked up impressive scoring and rebounding numbers in three games with the Shuckers in 2011-2012.
“We’re glad to have Kevin back with the team. He proved to be a potent rebounder and scorer in his short stint with the team last season and we’re looking to see him do that over a whole season,” commented Bay Area Shuckers General Manager John Wolfe.
Green played for the Patterson High School Clippers before moving on to star for the Maryland Bible College Eagles, averaging 14 points and 16 rebounds in two seasons. The 6’5”, 253 pound Green made his professional debut with the Maryland Marvels in 2010-2011. Green helped lead the Marvels to a first round playoff win before falling in the Eastern Basketball Alliance semi-finals. In 2011-2012 Green suited up for three games with the Shuckers and averaged 19.67 points and 10.00 rebounds per game. For his 22 point and 11 rebound performance on December 3, 2012 he was named the Coffee News Player of the Game.
