Standout at Lake Clifton before Playing for U of Maine, Maryland Bible

Severn, MD (October 12, 2012) – After over a month of training camp the Bay Area Shuckers announced their final signing to fill out their 2012-2013 roster, inking Ty Burns, a former standout for Lake Clifton.

“Ty is a new addition who has had a long path to get to the pros, but will provide a spark to the team,” commented Bay Area Shuckers General Manager John Wolfe.

Ty Burns starred for the Lake Clifton Lakers and earned All-Baltimore City/Baltimore County honors for the 1999-2000 season. Following Clifton he headed north to the University of Maine at Fort Kent where he was named Freshman of the Year. He then came back home to the Baltimore area and played for Essex Community College, before finishing his college career with Maryland Bible College.

The Bay Area Shuckers are members of the American Professional Basketball League (APBL) and are scheduled to tip-off their season in early November. For more information on the Bay Area Shuckers please visit
